It’s you. Or more specifically, it’s everything you’ve ever told it.

Gemini has gotten more complicated to manage since Google rolled out its Personal Intelligence features. Instead of a clean, editable list, a lot of what Gemini remembers now lives inside an ongoing activity log that records every prompt you’ve sent it. That makes surgical edits harder — if there’s a specific fact causing problems, you’re often better off asking Gemini conversationally to forget it. For a full reset, go to Settings, then Gemini Apps Activity, open the Delete menu, choose “All time,” and confirm. It’s a blunter tool than ChatGPT’s, but it works.
Claude splits its memory into categories — things like your stated preferences, your personal profile, and recurring topics you’ve discussed — which you can review individually under Settings and then Memory. You can delete an entire category in one click, or use the chat box to ask Claude to modify or remove a specific detail. If you want a completely fresh start, unchecking “Generate memory from chat history” prompts Claude to ask whether you want to pause memory or reset it entirely.
